It's simple, yet POWERFUL. Our partners at Stamp Stampede have an easy way for you to help save our democracy: Stamp your currency! Almost 57,000 stamps have been sold to around the U.S., and if you don't have one, get one before 2016 primary comes to your state.
THIS WEEK'S ACTIONS
1) Watch Ben & Jerry's Video - You'll find out that stamping is very much legal, easy, and on one $1.00 bill, reaches over 800 people!
2) Buy a Stamp - Stamps are normally $12.00 on the site, but our friends at Stamp Stampede are offering NH Rebels a special discount code to take 25% off. At checkout, add discount code NHR25. At that price, buy them for holiday gifts!
"All politics is local." -- Thomas P. O'Neill
After Thursday's public release of the "We the People" Pledge to Fight Big Money, fifteen NH Rebels marched on nearby campaign offices to deliver the We the People candidate pledge, resulting in at least one angry phone call from a campaign manager. We must be doing our job, wouldn't you say?
Now we need YOUR help in getting the word out. Will you help us take the Pledge to the streets of your town?
"For the cause that lacks assistance, The wrong that needs resistance, For the future in the distance, And the good that I can do." -- George Linnaeus Banks
The national partners of NH Rebellion developed a pledge similar to our "We the People" Pledge, and we're asking all our Rebels outside New Hampshire to sign it ASAP. It takes less than a minute to do; would you please go to FightBigMoney.com and sign it right now?

This week we have a choose-your-own Rebel Action of the Week, depending on whether you live in NH or out of state.
For New Hampshirites:
Write a Letter to the Editor Urging the NH House to Take Action on Citizens United
In last week's Rebel Action we told you that a NH House committee refused to move forward with SB136, which simply forms a committee to study endorsing a U.S. Constitutional amendment to repeal Citizens United. That recommendation came after a unanimous vote of support in the Senate. Now it's in the hands of the full NH House come January.
In a letter to your local newspapers, tell your community that NH should pass a resolution to amend the Constitution and end the unlimited and secret money unleashed from the Citizens United decision. Sixteen states have already passed resolutions, and dozens more have proposed bills. And it has overwhelming support: Recent national polling shows 80% of Republicans and 82% of Democrats support overturning Citizens United.
Urge readers to call or write their NH state representatives to override the "interim study" recommendation from committee and vote to support SB136! Make sure to mention that NH sees the evils of unlimited electioneering first hand with the barrage of negative Super PAC ads from outside special interests.

You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it." - Margaret Thatcher
Despite our efforts last week, we didn't win the Executive Administration committee SB136 vote last week in the NH House. Representatives voted 7-3 voted to kill the bill with an "interim study" recommendation. But there's still hope in January as the bill reaches the NH House floor.Read more
Thanks to YOUR ACTION last week, SB 136 was moved forward and faces a vote in the NH House Legislative Administration committee THIS TUESDAY, Oct. 13. SB 136 is a bi-partisan bill calling on Congress to supporting an amendment to overturn Citizens United and defend free speech rights for people.Read more
We know that not everyone has the stamina – and good knees – to Walk the Talk across New Hampshire. As we get closer to the NH Primary, we need legions of Armchair Rebels to TAKE ACTION if we are going to end Big Money politics! Each week, we'll ask you to take a different action. We may ask you to write a letter to the editor, give the campaigns a piece of your mind, or call your representatives and demand action. We may ask you to collect signatures for our town warrant initiative or tweet up a storm. Whatever the action, we promise to keep it easy, relevant, and fun.
This week, we're helping our ally Public Citizen mobilize calls to NH House Speaker Shawn Jasper on SB 136, a bi-partisan bill calling on Congress to supporting an amendment to overturn Citizens United and defend free speech rights for people. The bill has already passed the NH Senate unanimously and if the NH House passes the bill, it becomes the 17th state to support an amendment.
We need Speaker Jasper's support for the bill to move forward, and you can help in two ways:
SIGN THE PETITION
If you are a NH resident, go here to sign the petition to Speaker Jasper.
When you're done signing, you will be taken to a page urging you to call as well.

ACTION OF THE WEEK: Demand the FEC enforce the law!
We are getting reports that Big Money interests are blurring the lines on campaign-SuperPAC coordination. This piece by NH Public Radio's Emily Corwin, "Pro-Fiorina Super PAC Tests Boundaries in Campaign Ground Game," gives a prime example of the suspect activity happening on the NH Primary campaign trail.
We need you to write a letter to the Federal Election Commission and raise hell. Why are campaigns and Big Money interests allowed to engage in this collusion? Why have candidates filmed advertising with their Super PACs? The FEC needs to enforce the existing law!
Write a short letter to:
Federal Election Commission
999 E Street, NW
Washington, DC 20463
You can even multiply your impact six-fold by addressing a copy of your letter to each of the six Commissioners at the same address: Chair Ann Ravel, Vice Chair Matthew Petersen, Lee Goodman, Caroline Hunter, Steven Walther, and Ellen Weintraub.
Do you have ideas about how you can help as an Armchair Rebel? We want to hear your ideas!
Brian and the NH Rebellion team
PS. Not content to sit in your armchair? Local Rebels are invited to attend a monthly NH Rebellion strategy meeting with the various reform groups next Thursday at 12:30pm and on the first Thursday of every month. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP.
