Concord Event: Anniversary of Citizens United

On the Anniversary of Citizens United, a Timely Public Discussion: Can the Corruption of Congress be Cured?

Join us on Tuesday, January 21st 2014 at the University of New Hampshire Law School as we mark the anniversary of the Citizens United Supreme Court case and the implications that followed.  This event will mark the 11th day of our walking trip across New Hampshire as we shed light on the root problem of political corruption.

A panel will be moderated by Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks and founder of Wolf-PAC, consisting of:

  • Congressman John Sarbanes (D-MD), author of the Government by the People Act

  • Barbara Lawton, President and CEO of Americans for Campaign Reform

  • Lawrence Lessig, Harvard Law School Professor, founder of the New Hampshire Rebellion

  • Jim Rubens, former NH State Senator and Republican candidate for US Senate

  • Diane Russell, Maine State Representative (D-Portland)

This event is free to the public but seating is limited. Please RSVP to [email protected].

Sponsored by The Warren B. Rudman Center for Justice, Leadership, and Public Policy; Americans for Campaign Reform; and the New Hampshire Rebellion, a group of citizens walking across New Hampshire to raise awareness for ending the system of corruption in Washington.
