On Feb 29, 2000 Granny D walked her final day of her 3,200 walk for Campaign Finance Reform.
Join us to recreate Granny D's walk into Washington with a 5 mile walk from Arlington National Cemetery to the Capitol Building.
Arrive at 9 am on the sidewalk near the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery.
We will walk across the Memorial Bridge, stopping at the Lincoln Memorial for a Granny D speech.
We will then proceed down alongside the reflecting pool to the Washington Monument.
We will turn left onto 17th Street to go find K street turning at Farragut Square (walking on K street to be loud enough to cost the K Street lobbyist at least a few minutes of time).
We will then turn down 14th Street until Freedom Plaza and turn on Pennsylvania Ave for the final leg to the Capitol.
