  • 5th Annual Granny D Memorial Walk 2018

Please join us for a 6-mile supported walk from Dublin to Peterborough in Granny D's honor!

Walkers will gather at the corner of Cobb Meadow Rd. and E. Harrisville Rd. in Dublin, near Granny D's home.

We'll end in downtown Peterborough for a Community Celebration complete with lunch, free Ben & Jerry's ice cream, speakers and entertainment.  Come share your stories of Granny D!

Parking: There will be shuttles leaving from 16 Summer St. (behind the Fire Dept.) in Peterborough beginning at 8:45 am.  Please email Doreen at doreen@opendemocracy.me to secure a seat.  If you prefer to park at Cobb Rd., please be advised that it is a dirt road and that we will also have shuttles to take you back to your car after the event.

Food: Please email Doreen at doreen@opendemocracy.me if you have dietary requirements (i.e., gluten free, vegan, etc.)

Speakers will include Adam Eichen, who is Equal Citizens' Communications Strategist. Eichen is also a member of the Democracy Matters board of directors and a fellow at the Small Planet Institute. He is the co-author, with Frances Moore Lappé, of the new book, Daring Democracy: Igniting Power, Meaning, and Connection for the America We Want. He served as the deputy communications director for Democracy Spring.

  • Take the Pledge!

Rebels, it's time to act again! Let the Presidential candidates know that you want them to work for you, not special interest Super PACs and billionaires. When you take the We the People Pledge, your signature will be delivered–in person–to the Presidential candidates before the NH Primary. Make your voice heard and sign the Pledge below today!

I call on all candidates to champion the We the People reform agenda to restore government “of, by, and for the people.”

    1. Expose secret donors and require full transparency
    2. Ban bribes from lobbyists and government contractors
    3. Ban Super PACs and overturn Citizens United
    4. Establish small-donor, citizen-funded elections
    5. End gerrymandering and modernize voter registration
    6. Close loopholes and enforce campaign finance laws

    GOAL: 6,265 signatures

Only your name will be displayed on the NH Rebellion Pledge website. All other information is private.
