Join Open Democracy and NH Rebellion for a three-mile nonpartisan walk to the 2020 Democratic Debate hosted by WMUR and ABC News at St. Anselm's College. If you're not able to walk with us, we need support drivers to shuttle walkers back to Manchester, and volunteers to drive over early to St. Anselm's and have a presence in the ridiculous "free speech" area, where we hope to interact with the press.
Itinerary:
5:00 PM Meet at Veterans Memorial Park, 723 Elm St, Manchester, NH 03101
5:20 PM Walk commences. Duration 1 hour, 10 minutes
5:30 PM Non walkers drive support vans ahead to St. A's to get parking and get presence & signs in the "free speech" area.
+/- 6:10 PM Hot chocolate & bathroom break
6:30 Arrival, St. Anselm's College. 100 St Anselm Dr, Manchester, NH 03102 Deploy banners, signs, Campaign Finance Corruption Chorus sings.
6:45 Candidate arrivals begin
8:00 Debate begins
9:00 First shuttle departs from St A's
9:30 First shuttle returns. Second & Third shuttle departs
10:00 Last of walkers shuttled back to Manchester.
11:00 Debate concludes
Please Bring:
Dress in layers for spending 5 hours outside. Hats, mittens, long underwear, and waterproof outerwear.
We highly recommend handwarmers for mittens and boots.
We will Provide:
- Water, but please bring a water bottle
- We will provide hot chocolate and a snack.
- We will provide yellow safety vests (required)
- We will provide headlamps.
- We will provide signs, but you may bring your own.
